CE to visit Beijing for 40th anniversary of the country’s opening up

The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, will tomorrow lead a Macao delegation to Beijing for activities organised by various sectors from Hong Kong and Macao to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the country’s reform and opening up.

During his Beijing visit from 10 to 12 November, Mr Chui will be received by leaders of the country and will attend a seminar jointly held by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council. The seminar concerns the participation of the two Special Administrative Regions (SARs) in the country’s reform and opening up over the past 40 years, and the SARs’ continued integration in the process of national development.

The Macao delegation comprises around 50 members, including principal officials of the Government, and sectorial representatives who have contributed to the progress of the country’s reform and to Macao’s development.
