2019 HUSH!! Full Music Beach Concert Open call for proposals from local bands and musicians
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “2019 HUSH!! Full Music” Beach Concert will be held from 28 April to 1 May at Hac Sa Beach, Hac-Sa Nautical Centre and various locations in the Island District. This year’s Beach Concert will continue to invite a number of famous local and foreign bands to present different varieties of music, creating a passionate large-scale music feast. In order to provide a stage platform and more opportunities for local music performers to perform with foreign bands, IC invites interested local bands and musicians to participate in the concert.
Local bands and musicians can participate in the beach concert in three categories: “Hot Wave”, “Uprising Power” and “Summer Chill”. “Hot Wave” is the main stage of the concert featuring a music marathon by outstanding local and foreign bands performing original songs. “Uprising Power” is a special section of the concert for emerging local bands and musicians, in which selected performers will be invited to take the stage and improvise with other young local and foreign bands. “Summer Chill” is an individual stage dedicated to specific theme in the leisure area, where performers can share their signature music with the audience in a close and energetic atmosphere. Booths are also available for musicians to sell their original albums.
In order to promote the development of original local music and bring music to campuses and communities, IC will also promote several outreach activities such as the “Island Music Program”, “School Music Ambassador” and “Music Workshop”. Interested parties are welcome to submit their proposals.
Interested musicians and bands should submit their proposals and all relevant information from 18 to 22 February 2019 during office hours to the Division of Recreational Activities of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, located at Room A, 11/F, Nam Tung Commercial Building, No. 517, Avenida da Praia Grande, indicating the following on the envelope: “2019 HUSH!! Full Music Beach Concert – Open Call for Local Bands and Musicians”. Alternatively, registration documents can be submitted by email to mlcheong@icm.gov.mo before 24 February 2019, the receipt of which will be acknowledged by IC staff. Registration rules can be accessed and downloaded on IC’s website at www.icm.gov.mo and the list of successful registrants will also be announced on the same site.
