IPIM Holds “MICE Bidding Strategy Workshop” to Enhance Local MICE Professionalism


The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will hold the “MICE Bidding Strategy Workshop” in the Multi-functional Hall on the 19th floor of China Civil Plaza at 10 am on 27 February. Mr. Mike Williams, IPIM’s consultant in convention and exhibition area, will be the keynote speaker of the training workshop. The training will feature strategies of bidding convention and sharing sessions by local MICE practitioners who have successfully bid international conventions to be held in Macao.

By organising this workshop, IPIM aims at introducing local event organisers to more feasible approaches to bid international conventions and stage them in Macao, fostering professional exchange in the industry and nurture a healthy development of Macao’s MICE sector. The keynote speaker Mr. Mike Williams has 30 years of experience in international convention and exhibition marketing and management. He is also a consultant expert in MICE area in Japan, Thailand, South Africa and Macao. Mr. Williams has also provided training for local hotels, convention and exhibition centres, professional congress organisers, destination management companies and MICE associations, covering MICE development trends and event planning strategies.

The “MICE Bidding Strategy Workshop” will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Cantonese. All MICE practitioners and associations intending to bid for conventions are welcome to join.
