You bring the hero into your room and make minced meat of his incredible tales. The Odyssey – A wandering journey based on Homer tells of the story of Odysseus’ sons Telemachus and Telegonous: How they finally meet as young men and go on to assimilate their father’s violent stories together. This fraternal chamber drama is built in the face of the massive paternal vacancy on hoopla and virtuoso slapstick, propelling it through all conceivable psychological and pop-cultural stages of emotionality, into escalation and back out again.
Hailed as the Most Promising Young Director by the magazine Theatre Heute, Antú Romero Nunes is known as a great storyteller and theatre magician. Otherwise rather a man of great gesture, he developed this two-person piece with his actors Thomas Niehaus and Paul Schröder. An enchanting evening that unfolds great magic with the simplest means.
