The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the second-half of May on 23 May for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 7 supermarkets in Taipa and Coloane Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.
The Council divides its monthly supermarket price survey work into two parts and collect prices from local supermarkets 8 times a month, each supermarket will be surveyed twice and over 200 price data will be collected each time to be used in the “Supermarket price survey report”. The report is available on the Council’s website, and the collected data is used to be generated into information on the “Supermarket Price Watch” and other functions on the “Macao Supermarket Price Information Platform” app. Consumers will be able to use the data directly or compare prices and promotional offers of supermarkets to make their best consumption choice.
The “Supermarket Price Survey” is also available for free at the main office of the Consumer Council and local libraries of the Cultural Affairs Bureau.
