To apply, renew, and cancel “Authorization to Stay” for non-residents who engage in activities for their own benefits in Macao (“self-employed” for short).

  • Application for “employment authorization”

Target Groups and Application Eligibility

Target People

  1. Application
    The “self-employed”.
  2. Renewal
    Individuals who need to renew their “Authorization to Stay” accordingly after the “employment authorization” is renewed.
  3. Cancellation
    The “self-employed”.

Requirement

  1. Application
    1. the “self-employed” possessing valid “employment authorization”;
    2. the “self-employed” meeting the stipulation relevant to the system of entry, stay and residence authorization in Macao (e.g. 1. in possession of a valid passport/travel document/identification document for entry to and departure from Macao; and 2. not in a lawfully restricted status).
  2. Renewal
    1. “self-employed” possessing renewed valid “employment authorization”;
    2. Same as Point. 1.2.
  3. Cancellation
    No relevant stipulation.

Service result

  1. Application: Residence and Stay Affairs Department grants  “Authorization to Stay”  to the “self-employed”.
  2. Renewal: Residence and Stay Affairs Department renews “Authorization to Stay” for the “self-employed”.
  3. Cancellation: Residence and Stay Affairs Department cancels “Authorization to Stay”.
