A by-election for a seat in the Legislative Assembly is to take place on 24 November, according to Executive Order No. 102/2019 published in today’s Macao SAR Gazette.
A separate Executive Order also published the names of the six members forming the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Legislative Assembly Election that will oversee the by-election. They are: Mr Tong Hio Fong as the Commission’s Chairman; Mr Lai U Hou, Mr José Tavares, Mr Kou Peng Kuan, Mr Iong Kong Leong and Mr Chan Chi Ping.
The campaign-spending cap for the team of any candidate that might vie for the Legislative Assembly seat is 3,549,622 patacas, according to a third Executive Order also published today.
