This number of Review of Culture, International Edition, starts with a commissioned 2010-2012 study from the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government to the Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and carried out by the inter-departmental working group, on the archaeological excavation of the site of St. Paul’s College in Macao.
RCI devotes, next, an extensive chapter to Chinese Export Art. An approach to the activity of European artists in Canton; the social life of two collections of reverse glass paintings from China; the analysis of water scenery paintings by Chinese artists; the opinion of leading Chinese authors on foreign trade and new data and information about export art, are subjects explored by scholars.
