The Health Bureau confirmed a second infected case of the newly-identified coronavirus found in the Wuhan pneumonia outbreak.
On Wednesday (22 January), the patient concerned – a 66-year-old male tourist visiting from Wuhan – had arrived in Macao via the Border Gate Checkpoint. He was detected with a temperature of 38.7 °C in fever-detection screening at the checkpoint. He was immediately sent to Conde S. Januário Hospital for further checks. The patient had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
