On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the inscription of the Historic Centre of Macao on the World Heritage List, a thematic festival will be held from 11 to 12 July at the “World Heritage Youth Education Base”, located in the Mandarin’s House and the adjacent Lilau Square. The Festival features a rich variety of intriguing activities such as game booths, thematic exhibitions, sale of cultural and creative products, lucky draw, as well as enthralling performances and special photography spots, celebrating the 15th anniversary with the public. The “Historic Centre of Macao” and the “Kaiping Diaolou and Villages” were successfully inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and are world heritage sites currently located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In collaboration with the Kaiping Municipal People’s Government, the Festival also offers a rich variety of activities. During the activity period, free buses are available from Iao Hon Municipal Market and Taipa Central Park to Lilau Square.
