Cartography and Cadastre Bureau launches the mobile version of “Macao 3D Map”

To further promote the application of the three-dimensional map, the mobile version of the “Macao 3D Map” is now officially launched by the Cartography and Cadastre Bureau (DSCC) following the launch of the desktop version of the “Macao 3D Map” in April 2019 ( https://map3d.gis.gov.mo ). This allows the public to view the landscape of Macau through their smartphone anytime, anywhere, following the development of smart city, achieving sustainable innovation.

The mobile version of the “Macao 3D Map” is a combination of the technology advantages of the mobile device, multi-touch technology, and the cloud application, which simplifies the operations of 3D map in conjunction with delicate and detailed 3D models of all buildings in Macao. The public can browse the scenes of 3D map through their mobile phones or tablet devices. The “Macao 3D Map” is easy to operate and provides map operations including zooming in, zooming out, rotating and panning, as well as many practical functions such as search functions for building names, browsing preset 3D scenic spot, and clicking on the 3D model to obtain the building name.

As the widespread application of the three-dimensional map is the trend in the development of smart city, DSCC will continuously update the online maps of Macao, provide a variety of map products that are close to the daily necessities of the public, and use geographic information services to improve the quality of the citizen’s live.
