Goal Introductory Course for Gifted Education aims at higher the awareness of teachers in the identification of gifted students in regular classrooms. It also aims to equip teachers with necessary skills to cater for the special educational needs of gifted students. Curriculum models, teaching strategies as well as successful experience in catering for the special educational needs of gifted students will be covered in this course.
Message 1. Topics include the followings: 1.1 Key Concepts and Issues in Gifted Education 1.2 Understanding Underachievement in Gifted Students 1.3 Social and Emotional Development of Gifted Students 1.4 Creativity and Giftedness 1.5 The Identification for Gifted Students 1.6 Curriculum Differentiation for Gifted Students 1.7 Developing Programs and Provisions for Gifted Students 2. Assessment:: Oral presentations and written report.
