The Macao Chinese Orchestra will present the world premiere of the "Fantasy for MacauNo.3" by the renowned composer Kuan Nai-chung. The concert also features a blend of Chinese and the West perform by father and daughter. Weng Zhenfa, the master of Sheng in Chinese folk music, will be working with the international flute nova, Weng Sibei, presenting “The Legend of the Longing for Husband Cloud”, a Sheng Concerto set to the poignant love story of Yunnan folklore. In addition, the concert will also present the flute concerto “Sogdian Whirl” with elements of Duanhuang music and dancing. The show is an exemplary combination of Chinese and Western music, and a gluttonous feast integrating traditional Chinese culture and modern aesthetics.
