In order to convey festive love and happiness with the students during the Chinese New Year, IFTM had organised a series of celebration activities from late January.
The first to kick off was to decorate the campuses with traditional lanterns and riddle games with content covering legends, customs and CNY meanings. Led by the instructor of the Fai Chun Workshop, students learnt to express and convey their blessings to families and friends through writing the Spring couplets.
To celebrate the Lantern Festival, the Cartoon Rice Dumpling Workshop was arranged. The response was so overwhelming that one extra session was arranged. Students could DIY their own favourite dumplings. The Institute also organised students to produce a theme video about the Lantern Festival through which students are encouraged to share love and express gratitude, thus promoting a harmonious campus atmosphere.
In response to the urge of China and Macao SAR Government about "Stay in Macao for CNY", IFTM also organised celebration activities for the hostel residents. Before CNY's Eve, IFTM representatives had a reunion dinner with the residents, followed by CNY greeting and lucky bag giving on the First Lunar Day. All gatherings were to let them feel home away from home and for IFTM to convey its care and festive blessings.
IFTM always emphasises a lot about national education. The celebration activities not only promoted the festive atmosphere, but also reinforced the important inheritance of Chinese culture among the students.
