Limited quotas left for the 2021 Sands China Macao International 10K

Registration for Fun Run starts today

Registration for the Fun Run of the 2021 Sands China Macao International 10K, jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and the General Association of Athletics of Macau and title-sponsored by Sands China, started at 9am today and has received overwhelming response. The Organizing Committee announced that limited quotas are left for the 10K race and the Fun Run. Interested runners are advised to submit their applications as early as possible.

For online registration, registrants may visit www.macao10k.com to start the registration process. Macao International Marathon account holders must use their existing account to register for this event. Users who have already opened an account but have forgotten their username and password may reset the password on the event’s website. New registrants who do not have an existing account may open one on the website. Participants should input their personal information as well as an electronic copy of their identification document for registration purpose. Visa, Mastercard, China UnionPay and BOC NET (for Bank of China Macau Branch account holders only) are accepted for registration fee payment.

Registrants who opt for on-site registration may proceed to the Macau Grand Prix Building of Sports Bureau (Monday to Thursday 9:00 – 13:00, 14:30 – 17:45 and Friday 9:00 – 13:00, 14:30 – 17:30) or General Association of Athletics of Macau (Monday to Friday 10:00 – 13:00, 14:30 – 18:30 and Saturday 10:00 – 13:00) from tomorrow. Registrants should bring along the completed registration form, a copy of their identification document and the registration fee, while only cash will be accepted (Macau patacas or Hong Kong dollars and no exchange rate difference will be refunded).

The 2021 Sands China Macao International 10K will be held on 11 April (Sunday). The Fun Run will start at 7am and the 10K race at 7:30am at the Sai Van Lake Square. The 10K course runs along Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre and Sai Van Bridge, with the finish located inside the Olympic Sport Centre Stadium.

In order to provide safe conditions for the participants, the Organizing Committee will follow the anti-pandemic guidelines issued by the Health Bureau and request participants to show proof of a valid negative COVID test result on the race day. Further details relating to this arrangement will be announced in due course. In addition, the Organizing Committee will pay close attention to the COVID-19 pandemic situation and will adopt preventive measures according to the guidelines issued by the Health Bureau.

The Organizing Committee reminds all participants that they must comply with Macao’s Law No. 2/2004 on the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, pay attention to and cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures of the Macao SAR Government. By submitting the registration form, participants clearly understand and agree to cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures of the Macao SAR Government. No cancellation or refund will be allowed for confirmed registrations.
