UM FBA holds an alumni event sharing with DBA students

UM’s FBA holds an event for doctoral students and alumni to exchange ideas

The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) recently held the FBA Alumni Event Series: Online Sharing with DBA Students. During the event, four outstanding students in the FBA’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme shared their knowledge in their professional areas as well as insights on the ever-changing business environment. The DBA programme is one of the flagship programmes of the university and the FBA.

During the event, Jean Chen, dean of the FBA, delivered a welcome speech in which she highly appreciated the outstanding contributions of faculty members, administrative staff, and DBA students to the development of the faculty.

The four outstanding DBA students are Jay Chun, chairman and managing director of Paradise Entertainment Limited; Xie Shiling, director and senior partner of Jiangsu Yuntong Law Firm; Lin Jianxiong, general manager of the Division of Direct Banking, Bank of Jiujiang; and Lam Iok Ha, director of SME Business and general manager of the Marketing Department of ICBC (Macau) Limited. The topics of the four talks were ‘Innovation Drives the Development, Reformation Creates the Future’, ‘Be a Flag Waver of Traditional Chinese Culture in the New Era’, ‘Prudent Risk Analysis of Online Credit Business in the Open Banking Scenario’, and ‘Opportunities and Challenges Faced by SMEs in Macau in 2021’.
