Organized by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and coordinated by Macau Live Streaming Association, the “Incubation Plan for Macao’s KOL in Tourism” (referred to as the “Plan”) designated ten trainees as the “Outstanding Content Creators on Tourism”. An award ceremony was held at the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre today (8 November).
MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, MGTO Deputy Director Ricky Hoi, and President of Macau Live Streaming Association, Choi Kei Pui, attended the award ceremony together with other personages.
Ten trainees of the Plan were awarded the honorary certificates of “Outstanding Content Creator on Tourism”. The short videos produced by these outstanding trainees were screened at the ceremony, where some of them also shared their creative experience and insights with others.
MGTO and Macau Live Streaming Association had enrolled 50 trainees for the content creation training camp of the “Incubation Plan for Macao’s KOL in Tourism”, randomly selected from over 300 local applicants by electronic lots this summer. 35 of the 50 trainees successfully fulfilled the Plan’s requirements for completion and participated in the short video competition, including 13 tour guides. It shows that tour guides took part in the Plan for self-improvement and gave play to their creativity in promoting the destination. By content assessment of the video entries and analysis of platform data, the Plan designated ten trainees, including four tour guides, as the “Outstanding Content Creators on Tourism” with honorary certificates.
The “Incubation Plan for Macao’s KOL in Tourism” aims to encourage Macao residents and travel trade to leverage social networks to spotlight Macao as a wonderful destination with diverse travel experiences to offer. The content creation training camp was conducted in August as part of the program. By organizing the Plan, MGTO hopesto cultivate talented creators of social media content on cultural tourism and inspire Macao residents and members of the local travel trade to give play to their creativity in promoting the destination through different ways.
