MPI Seniors Academy organizes students to experience e-banking services

Teacher and students of Seniors Academy visited BOC Macau

Recently, Students of the Electronic Service Application Course of the MPI Seniors Academy, led by Miss Chan Chio Lai to visit the Bank of China Macau Branch (San Ma Lou sub-branch). The ACS expects that by participating in this tour, students will gain a better understanding of various e-banking services by combining actual operation with the content of daily e-courses, as well as experience the ease that electronic technology provides.

On the day of the activity, the General Manager of San Ma Lou sub-branch of BOC Macau, Leong Sai Kun, gave a welcome speech to the participants. Then, the staff introduced various electronic services to the participants, including online banking and mobile banking services, and shared how to quickly complete the designated transactions through the intelligent counter. Then, staff guided the participants to the intelligent counter area to experience participating in actual e-service operations, meanwhile also introducing the "Cheque-Deposit Machines" and "Self-Service Coin Machine" service. Some participants also activated mobile banking services and “Finger Vein Authentication” immediately on the spot, so that they can conduct their banking business more safely and quickly in the future.

There were comments from the participants saying that through this activity, they can further understand the content and operation steps of the bank's intelligent counters. For example, the newly implemented “Finger Vein Authentication”, which can easily perform designated transactions without signing or remembering the password. At the same time, it saves a lot of waiting time, which is safe and convenient. In response to the construction and development of the smart city of Macao, the MPI Seniors Academy has always been committed to providing different courses and activities, such as e-service application courses, smart city carnivals and experiential tours, so that the elderly can better master smart technologies by combining theory and practice, moreover, enable seniors to stay up with technological advancements and better integrate into the development queue of the smart society.
