How to enquire

  • Personal enquiry: during office hours visit in person our office at “Avenida da Praia Grande Praia Grande, No. 804, Edif. China Plaza, 17.º Andar, Macau”;
  • Written enquiry: mail your written enquiry to our office at “Personal Data Protection Bureau, Avenida da Praia Grande, No. 804, Edif. China Plaza, 17.º Andar, Macau”, or to “Macao P.O. Box 880;
  • Fax enquiry: fax your written enquiry to Personal Data Protection Bureau’s fax number: 28716116;
  • Email enquiry: Email your written enquiry to: info@dspdp.gov.mo. Please note, the information (including personal data) sent by email could be exposed on open network and run the risk of unauthorized access or abuse by third parties;
  • Online enquiry: the public can file their enquiries via the service webpage on the Personal Data Protection Bureau’s website;
  • Phone enquiry: during office hours call the Personal Data Protection Bureau’s hotline: 28715666.

Fee

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, the Personal Data Protection Bureau accepts and handles enquiries related to personal data processing free of charge.


Notes/Application information

  1. For fairness and to safeguard all concerned parties’ interests, the Personal Data Protection Bureau will arrange meeting for enquiry, but it depends on the specific situation. During the initial meeting, the staff may provide preliminary remarks. Another meeting can be appointed, if necessary, in order to proceed further enquiries.
  2. If your enquiry involves concrete data processing, the Personal Data Protection Bureau may request a written enquiry or personal visit to file an enquiry or its follow-ups. You have to provide information to justify your identity as a data subject or data controller, or information to prove your involvement with the data processing. These are not mandatory but your refusal may affect the Personal Data Protection Bureau’s reply of enquiries.
  3. If the request involves application for opinion, the Personal Data Protection Bureau may require submitting an application.
