Over the course of numerous editions, the Macao International Music Festival has provided a performing platform for young musicians, aiming at bolstering the city's musical culture. Pianist Monic Chen will perform contemporary and classical works of the 20th century, in collaboration with a musical trio who shares the same passion, showcasing the power of rising talent.

Born and raised in Macao, Chen also engages in improvisation and composition, mastering a diversity of genres, from classical, avantgarde and pop, to free jazz and other rhythms. She has furthered her studies overseas with a scholarship by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and since her return to Macao has been dedicated to both classical and new age music.
