    Holders of a “Permit for Travelling to Hong Kong and Macao” enter Macao through the Border Gate Checkpoint.
  2. Documents to be Presented
    Valid “PRC Permit for Travelling to Hong Kong and Macao”.

Remarks / Points to note

After receiving the “PRC Permit for Travelling to Hong Kong and Macao” from the applicant, the immigration officer at the Border Gate Checkpoint immediately examines the Permit and verifies the Permit holder. Then the officer enters the holder’s bio data to the computer either manually or through the Optical Character reader. After confirming the information, the officer completes the entry clearance procedure and returns the Permit to the holder, together with a “notification”. An appointment will also be made to facilitate the holder in his or her application for Residence Authorization at the Residence Subdivision located at the Immigration Building of the Public Security Police Force.
