Boosted by encouraging gaming revenue in the third quarter and steady increase in visitors, Macao's GDP in 2006 is expected to grow by 10 pert cent, the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Francis Tam Pak Yuen, said today. Speaking when he was interviewed by the press after attending an event, Mr Tam said he expected the gaming tax for the year would increase by about 15 per cent. He expected to see pay rises for workers in Macao as the economy continued to expand.
