Macao and Hainan to expand co-operation


The Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, met with the Governor of Hainan Province, Mr Wei Liucheng on the sidelines of the Boao Forum which opened today on Hainan island. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed means to strengthen Hainan-Macao co-operation under the framework of the Pan-Pearl River Delta regional co-operation agreement, particularly in tourism where they could complement one another. Both expressed the will to expand existing co-operation. Also present at the meeting was the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Francis Tam, and the Vice Governor of Hainan, Mr Chen Cheng.
