More than 30 individuals and organisations were accorded honours today for their contributions to Macao. The annual ceremony was held today at the Cultural Centre and was presided over by the Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah. The Medal of Honour is awarded to outstanding individuals or organisations for their contribution to the image, reputation and development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR). The recipient is Mr Chui Tak Kei (Grand Lotus). The Medals of Merit, which can be classified into Professions, Industry and Commerce, Tourism, Education, Culture, Philanthropy and Sport, are given to outstanding individuals or organisations making distinguished service in promoting the development of the relevant sectors in Macao.
