Second medical team returns to Macao

The SAR Government would continue to send the necessary manpower and commodities to quake-hit areas, as requested by the Earthquake Relief Headquarters. The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr Chui Sai On, said this at the airport today when he welcomed members of a second medical team who returned from Sichuan. The team, comprising 21 medical professionals from orthopaedic and infectious disease departments, left on 10 June to Sichuan to help the victims. Mr Chui said the team had taken part in relief work in hospitals in Nanchong, and that the Government would fully support reconstruction works in areas hit by the earthquakes on 12 May.
