Chief Executive leaves Macao for Hainan


The Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, left Macao for Hainan this morning to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2008 in Hainan. Asked by reporters for comments on Macao’s future role in cross-straits relations, Mr Ho said every Chinese would welcome closer ties across the straits. He said the Macao SAR would follow the Central Government’s policies relating to Taiwan and work closely with the Central Government in accordance to the Basic Law.
