The Vice President, Mr Xi Jinping continued his two-day fact-finding visit in Macao this morning and toured the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Museum of Macau and Mount Fortress, and chatted with residents. Mr Xi visited the tourist spots in the company of the Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, and the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr Chui Sai On. Mr Xi shown special interests in the exhibits in the museum, and often inquired for more details. He praised the museum for incorporating Macao’s characteristics of blending Chinese and Western cultures. After spending about 20 minutes in the museum, Mr Xi strolled to Mount Fortress, which overlooked downtown Macao and the Mainland. During the tour, Mr Xi chatted with residents, tourists and some students who were drawing sketches. He extended his regards to the residents, encouraged the students to study hard, and urged the tourists to visit Macao more often. Mr Xi also praised Macao people for their inclusiveness and open-mindedness.
