Students’ group photo after project presentation.

IFT Tourism Retail and Marketing Management final year students successfully completed a Visual Merchandising and Store Design project to support Number 55 Co. Limited and Number 81 Co. Limited. These companies are behind the development of various stores in the art and creative district in Rua de Nossa Senhora do Amparo and Patio de Chon Sau, and, also their latest development ‘One Creative Arts Department Store’. Students are lucky to have a store at the art and creative district in Rua de Nossa Senhora do Amparo and Patio de Chon Sau for them to identify business opportunity, developing business model as well as designing the store and its visual merchandising. This project is very important to Macau as the government and local industry need to be identifying ways to diversify our economy. The course instructor Dr. Fernando Lourenço and the creative director of Number 55 Co. Limited and Number 81 Co. Limited, Eurico Ao, congratulate the students for their effort and for the quality of work they produced. Number 55 Co. Limited and Number 81 Co. Limited are currently assessing opportunity to turn some of these ideas into reality by forming teams of IFT students once they graduate this academic year to lead these projects. This is a fantastic way to build a stronger link with the industry by offering our support to local enterprises with aims to support our local government’s strategic vision.
