In order to promote the development of the cultural and creative industries, the 29th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, has specially invited local cultural and creative entity GUGUMELO Studio to design a series of ‘Gugumelo x 29FIMM’ illustrated products about ‘Soundmazing’, the theme of this year’s Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), thus demonstrating the sparkle of the Festival. The Bureau will simultaneously release the activity ‘Postcards to the Future’ to celebrate the imminent 30th anniversary of the MIMF in advance with music lovers. Gugumelo has specially created musician character ‘Gugumesic’ exclusively for MIMF to deliver each music lover with positive energy, accompanied by two souvenirs - a tote bag and pocket notes – in the hope of bringing music fans happiness and cheerfulness. The ‘Gugumesic’ on the tote bag sings with rhythm and a bouncing gesture anytime and anywhere, demonstrating the soul and various features of music and the happiness of spiritual satisfaction. The four models of pocket notes are themed ‘Soundmazing is harmony’, ‘Soundmazing is fun’, ‘Soundmazing is creative’, and ‘Soundmazing is joy’. They propagate the idea that music places no restrictions on form and is for all people regardless of age, gender or nationality, delivering the music opinions from composer, performer and audience. The two souvenirs will be available for sale in a special package at the Macao Cultural Centre, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Mount Fortress and St. Dominic’s Church during the concerts of the MIMF. Buy now while stocks last! In addition, ‘Postcard to the Future’ has been released for this edition of the MIMF. Public can obtain the postcards at the performing venues for free and write or draw their wishes for next year's 30th MIMF on the cards before dropping them into the ‘Postcard to the Future Collection Box’ placed at the venue. The organiser will send a surprise to music lovers in celebration of the 30th edition of the Festival. A limited number of postcards will be distributed per session, on a first come first served basis. For details about the souvenirs and the ‘Postcards to the Future’, please refer to the Macao International Music Festival page on Facebook. For more information about the MIMF, please call IC through tel. no. 8399 6699 during office hours or visit www.icm.gov.mo/fimm.
