DSEJ announced that classes of infant education, primary education and special education would be suspended on Monday (January 25)


As the Macao Meteorological Bureau predicted that there would be rain on Monday, the temperature index would be orange and between 1oC and 7 oC, the DSEJ announced that classes of infant education, primary education and special education would be suspended on Monday. However, schools should keep the campus open and arrange staff to take care of those kindergarten, primary school and special education students who have arrived at the school until the situation is safe for students to go home. The school and parents should be concerned about cold weather safety education To enhance students’ knowledge and awareness of taking precaution of cold weather, the DSEJ has requested schools to carry out related safety education. Schools are requested to pay attention to students’ physical condition, allow students to wear non-uniform coat and hat to keep warm. School should also pay attention to weather changes; avoid students from staying outdoor for a long time in cold weather, so as to prevent frostbite, in particular the students studying in kindergarten, primary school and special education, as well as students with special needs. The DSEJ called on schools and parents to work together to prepare students well for the cold weather and educate them about it, as well as jointly ensure the safety of students and foster the healthy growth of students.
