Registration for Seminar “New Trend in Online and Theater Film Distribution” is open

Online registration for the Seminar “The New Trend in Online and Theater Film Distribution” is opens until Monday, 24 July, at 5pm.

The seminar “New Trend in Online and Theater Film Distribution” will be held on Wednesday, 26 July, at 2:30pm, at the Ballroom on the first floor of the Regency Art Hotel Macao. Online registration for the seminar is available from today until Monday, 24 July, at 5pm. Admission is free. All interested parties are welcome to participate. The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese, with Portuguese and English interpretation provided.

The seminar, conducted by the Vice President of the China TMENG Holding Company and Chief Executive Officer of the China TMENG Pictures, Wu Jing, and the Vice President of Program Syndication and Distribution Department of the Hong Kong Fortune Star Media Limited, Ng Man Leong, explores the new trend in online and theatre film distribution. Wu Jing is a senior film producer with a bachelor’s degree of performance arts at the Beijing Film Academy, as well as a master’s degree from the Department of Management of the Beijing Technology and Business University. She has participated in the production of several online movie series and television episodes, including Rise of Taoists, A Security of the Ming Dynasty, Fight in Causeway Bay, Mysterious Record, Better Man from the Past and The King of Tomb. Ng Man Leong, a veteran in the field of film and TV distribution for over 25 years, worked at the Media Asia Film Distribution Company Limited and the Asia Television Limited. He is currently the Vice President of Program Syndication and Distribution Department of the Hong Kong Fortune Star Media Limited, and is in charge of the global distribution and intellectual property authorization of films in the Hong Kong Film Archive, one of the largest film archives in the world. In recent years, he has actively participated in the intellectual property authorization and adaptation of classic Hong Kong movies, including A Better Tomorrow 4, The Killer 2, and Once a Thief 2.

This seminar is one of the activity of the “2017 Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Film Production and Investment Fair”, co-organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, the Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of Guangdong Province and the Create Hong Kong. There are thirty seats available on a first come, first served basis.
