The Government Information Bureau is to launch a Facebook page tomorrow (28 March), in order to enhance its engagement with the public and to allow more convenient access to Government-issued information.
The main topics covered by the page will be Government-issued information; Government events; public policy matters; and live streaming of special news topics; as well as videos and photograph collections produced by the Bureau. Information shared on the page will be in Chinese. Facebook users are welcome to follow the account via https://www.facebook.com/macaogcs.
Following an update to the Bureau’s practices regarding the use of media channels, the Bureau in 2015 launched a WeChat account so as to diversify the routes by which members of the public receive Government-issued information. The Bureau is to dedicate further effort to exploring additional routes by which the public can have easier access to such information.
