UM professor Antony Kunnan has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Asia TEFL

Antony John Kunnan, a professor from the Department of English and associate dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Macao (UM), has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Asia TEFL(Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Prof Kunnan will serve in the position from January 2017 to October 2019.

TheJournal of Asia TEFL is indexed in SCOPUS, with a global readership of over 18,030 distributed in 79 regions. It is an open-access online journal. Its previous editors-in-chief were Prof Bernard Spolsky from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and Prof Andy Kirkpatrick from Griffith University, Australia.

Prof Kunnan was previously the founding editor of Language Assessment Quarterly, published by Routledge, from 2003 to 2013, and Issues in Applied Linguistics, published by the University of California Los Angeles, from 1989 to 1991. He is currently a co-editor of the book series New Perspectives in Language Assessment, published by Routledge.
