Application for Arrival of Pleasure Boats Registered in Guangdong Province


How to Apply

Time Limit for Application

To be applied 48 hours prior to the intended arrival in the port of Macao.

Formalities and Required Documents

Applicants can upload the following documents to the “Guangdong-Macao Individual Travel Scheme for Yachts” in the Application System for Entry and Exit of Foreign Pleasure Boats (no English translation) and apply to the Marine and Water Bureau:

  1. Certificate of vessel’s nationality;
  2. Certificate of seaworthiness of pleasure boat;
  3. “Pleasure boat operator licence of the People’s Republic of China” ;
  4. “proof of training”obtained by passing the examination of the supplementary learning session (applicable to mainland pleasure boats with Zhongshan as the port of entry and exit);
  5. Proof of having purchased compulsory liability insurance from an approved insurance company of Macao for pleasure vessels for navigating in Macao waters for the pleasure boats registered in Guangdong Province prior to arrival.

Documents required to be processed / applied in advance:

  1. Certificate of vessel’s nationality;
  2. Certificate of seaworthiness of pleasure boat;
  3. “Pleasure boat operator licence of the People’s Republic of China”;
  4. “proof of training” obtained by passing the examination of the supplementary learning session (applicable to mainland pleasure boats with Zhongshan as the port of entry and exit);
  5. Proof of having purchased compulsory liability insurance from an approved insurance company of Macao for pleasure vessels for navigating in Macao waters for the pleasure boats registered in Guangdong Province prior to arrival.

Upon submission of all necessary documents, the processing time is within 48 hours after receipt of application. (Performance Pledge)


Notes for Application

  • Applicants can download the “Approval Slip for Port Entry of Yacht” from the “Guangdong-Macao Individual Travel Scheme for Yachts” in the Application System for Entry and Exit of Foreign Pleasure Boats (No English translation) and give it to the pleasure boat operator who has been granted permission for port entry.
  • Pleasure boat operators are required to retain on board the following documents for inspection, when necessary:
    • All the documents listed in”Formalities and Required Documents”;
    • Photocopy of Guidance on Individual Travel Scheme for Yachts between Guangdong Province and Macao (Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone-Macao) and Guidance on Individual Travel Scheme for Yachts between Guangdong Province and Macao (Zhongshan-Macao) (no English translation), read and signed by the operator;
    • Original copy of “Port Clearance for Ships on International Voyages”;
    • “Approval Slip for Port Entry of Yacht” .
