IC announces candidates selected for the “2016 Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films”

Four eligible candidates and their works were selected in the “2016 Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films”.

The second review of the “2016 Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), was completed and a total of four entrants were selected as eligible candidates of the Programme. IC will grant each eligible candidate a subsidy of up to MOP1,500,000 for the production, marketing and promotion of the selected feature films.

The “2016 Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films” aims to continuously promote the development of the Macao film industry, cultivate local filmmaking talents, provide opportunity to local filmmakers to produce feature films, encourage filmmakers to get involved in feature film productions, and enhance the professional production capacity of the local film industry. A total of 15 applications were received this year. Following the initial and second reviews, the adjudicating panel selected four eligible candidates and their works: The Happiest Time byHong Heng Fai, Madaleba by Chan Nga Lei, Wonderful World by Chao Koi Wang and The Beautiful Game by António José Caetano de Faria.
