MPI Open Day
The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) sets out to kick off its annual Open Day on 6 January (Saturday) on its main campus on Gomez Street, featuring a wide range of exciting and enriching activities. A series of events and activities have been organized to explain and to demonstrate what MPI does, along with exciting performances to enjoy and interesting games to play. The Open Day is a golden opportunity for all senior high school students, other interested people, and the general public to get a better idea of MPI’s teaching and management philosophy. It will be particularly beneficial for prospective high school graduates and other young people who are aspiring to enroll in MPI, helping them know more about MPI's teaching and research facilities, its programmes and courses, its teaching and research, and, above all, the admission policy and process.
For the 2018/19 academic year, MPI is actively enrolling students for a broad range of highly-acclaimed Bachelor Degree programmes. These include, but are not limited to: Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation & Interpretation, Chinese-English/English-Chinese Translation & Interpretation, International Chinese Language Education, Portuguese Language, Computing, Social Work, Public Administration, Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations, Design, Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education, E-Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Management, Gaming and Recreation Management, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy Technology, and Speech and Language Therapy. The Open Day itself will begin with a brief but grand opening ceremony, which will be followed by an array of well-prepared activities, such as a guided tour of the campus, exhibitions of teaching and research achievements, trial tests of physical fitness, performance and interactive activities, art workshops, nursing operations, experiment demonstrations, talent shows, visits to libraries, hands on trials with teaching equipment, tasting of MPI canteen delicacies, playing games to win big prizes, and more. We cordially invite all prospective high school graduates, as well as their parents and any interested people from all walks of life, to our Open Day at MPI. On-site applications are strongly encouraged and will be processed immediately, though the application period will continue until 19 January 2018. We also recommend participants to visit the Exhibition of Programmes & Curriculum to be held in the Chi Un Building and to enjoy other thematic exhibitions in the MPI Library in the Wui Chi Building.
