New Uniform for DSEC Enumerators

New Uniform for DSEC Enumerators

Enumerators of the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) have started wearing new uniforms to perform duties from 8 January 2018. The new uniform, designed to be worn all year round, is a dark blue collar vest with a DSEC logo printed on the left chest and with the Chinese name “統計暨普查局” and the Portuguese name “Direcção dos Serviços de Estatística e Censos” of DSEC printed on the back.

DSEC states that the new uniform will help the public to easily identify DSEC’s enumerators and allow them to oversee the work of the DSEC team. In addition to the uniform, all enumerators on duty are required to carry a valid identification badge and a backpack/satchel bearing the DSEC logo.

DSEC stresses that they comply strictly with the regulations of Statistical Confidentiality and keep all personal data collected in strict confidence. Moreover, DSEC calls on the public to support data collection of its statistical activities to facilitate the provision of timely and accurate official statistics to the community.
