"The Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair" supports enterprises in seeking business opportunities
Jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair 2018 (2018GMBPF) will be held at the Venetian Macao from 27 to 29 July. As a flagship annual event for Guangdong and Macao encompassing trade, cultural exchanges, shopping, leisure and entertainment, the GMBPF has received extensive recognition from all sectors of the community. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the 2018GMBPF features a diversified range of activities and has encouraged wider participation of premium brands, deepening the economic and trade co-operation between Guangdong and Macao and promoting the economic diversification of Macao by serving as a bridge for economic and trade co-operation between Macao and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
The GMBPF has stepped into its 10th edition since its launch in 2009. It will remain committed to innovation and steadily improve the quality of exhibitions and services, thereby building itself into an exceptional trading platform for enterprises from Guangdong and Macao. The venue of the event has been expanded from 6,000 square metres of the first edition to 9,000 square metres this year.
In addition to the " Exhibition and Sale Area of Guangdong Branded Products" and the "Macao Featured Products Exhibition & Sales Area", the 2018GMBPF will continue to feature elements relevant to the Belt and Road Initiative, "Indonesia Products Exhibition & Sales Area", and "Myanmar Products Exhibition & Sales Area", as well as the newly added "Malaysia Products Exhibition & Sales Area". The event will serve as a bridge that connects product exhibition and sales as well as information exchange for exhibitors, and give full play to the role of Macao as a platform for exchange among participating countries and regions, further extending the GMBPF's impact.
Meanwhile, to support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, seize opportunities of co-operation, and explore room for business expansion, this year's GMBPF will include an exhibition and sales area to showcase various types of products from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ranging from food and beverage, daily appliance, gift, electronic products, fashion, to handicrafts. In addition, concurrent events in relation to the development of the Belt and Road and the Greater Bay Area, including Roundtable Conference of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Commercial Organisations, the Forum on Youth Education and Innovation in GBA will be staged to allow in-depth discussion upon the future prospect and development of the Greater Bay Area.
The Guangdong-Macao Young Entrepreneur Exhibition Area will have its debut at this year’s event, providing a great exposure to the brands and products of young entrepreneurs as a support to the growth of young entrepreneurs in accordance with the administration of the Macao SAR. In line with the Agreement on Promoting Foreign Trade and Development via MICE Industry and many other agreements signed between the Macao SAR government's Congjiang county, Guizhou province, an exhibition area will be specially set up at the venue to showcase a variety of special products from Congjian, which will also be for sale on-spot, deepening the exchange and collaboration between the industries of the two places.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, this year's GMBPF features fabulous highlights, including the Guangdong-Macao 10th Anniversary Pier, a thematic exhibition area where renowned chefs will demonstrate their culinary art on the Celebrity Cooking Live Show, elements of youth entrepreneurship, and prize interactive games, consumer lucky draws and lucky draw finale. In addition, the 2018GMBPF will be held concurrently with the Macao Franchise Expo 2018 to create golden opportunities for businesses.
