“You know, Macao is not my real name. I have left you for too long, mother!....” During Macao’s jubilant return to the motherland 19 years ago, The Song of the Seven Sons was deeply embedded within our heart. The Macao Chinese Orchestra is going to rearrange this song and bring surprises to music fans in the new form of Chinese orchestral music.

Meanwhile, we have also invited Song Yuanming, a highly sought-after Austrian-based soprano among conductors and orchestras in China, and Han Lei, the famous Guan musician of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, to perform Reminiscence, a song recalling feelings and memories, and Silk Road, a guanzi concerto depicting the mysterious landscape and customs of Northwest China, to celebrate the 19th anniversary of Macao’s handover to China with Macao’s people.
