Goal | To assist participants to be familiarised with the basic teaching methods and strategies of school education, understand the design and development process of multimedia computer-assisted teaching courseware, the development and management of computer teaching platform, computer classroom management skills and regulations, as well as the curriculum design suitable for the characteristics of different subjects. |
Message | The purpose of this study activity is to enable participants to master the integrated application of information technology in school education, including teaching and administrative management. The study activity will be conducted in groups of three to four participants and guided by relevant scholars. The participants will share the specific situations of different schools, based on the theme of “planning and management of school information technology”. In addition, the participants will formulate a proposal to improve information technology education according to the actual needs of the schools where they work. There is no restriction on the format of the report. 1. Planning and Management of School Information Technology (6 hours): The integrated application of information technology in school education will be introduced in lectures, including teaching and administrative management. 2. Forming Groups and Consultation (3+15 hours): In group consultation activities, tutors will answer the questions that participants encounter in their study report design. 3. Group Presentation (6 hours): Each group will be allotted 90 minutes for presentation, in which each group member has to present for about 10-12 minutes and there will be 20-30 minutes for free discussion. The total time for all groups to give presentation is approximately 6 hours. |
