With a long history, Chinese plucked-string instruments feature a clear and unique sound that pulls the heartstrings, bringing great inspiration to literati and poets. Music flown from fingers stimulates unbound romantic imagination, thus inspiring masterpieces in China's literature and art. In this concert, artists of the plucked string section of the Macao Chinese Orchestra will perform Midu Mountain Song, Pomegranate Flowers (2 Pieces) and Blossom at Dawn. These pieces vary from melodic ancient tune to works in modern style or with ethnic charm, showcasing the full glamour of oriental plucked string music.
