【Introduction】
Under the topic of feminist literature in Portuguese-speaking African countries, the seminar will focus on the most significant contemporary female authors in Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, and Guinea Bissau. By introducing their representative works, the speaker will explore in depth their roles and impacts in the history of Portuguese literature in Africa.

【About the Speaker】
Jin Xinyi, lecturer in the Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Hispanic and Portuguese Studies, Beijing Foreign Studies University. Her courses include Portuguese Literature, Appreciation of Portuguese Literary Classics in Africa, Literature and Art, Chinese and Portuguese Translation. Her interests of studies focus on literature of Portuguese-speaking countries, comparative study between literature and arts, literature translation, and teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. She has translated into Chinese Plasticus maritimus, uma espécie invasora (translation edition published by Zhejiang Education Publishing House, 2021), Jorge de Sena's poetry collection Arte de Música (translation edition published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, 2020), Mia Couto's full-length novel Terra Sonâmbula (translation edition published by Homeward Publishing, 2018), Schönberg, Stravinsky, Adorno, and Webern: a complicated psychological constellation (translation edition published in Philharmonic, Vol.10-12, 2017, SDX Joint Publishing Company), and Pilar's Travel Notebook (translation edition published by Guangxi Normal University Press, 2015), and more. She has also published a number of academic articles and review articles.

【For Registration】
-Registration date: 29th October – 9th November, 2021 (inclusive)
-Maximum number of participants: 60
-Admission fee: free
-Registration method: by online registration only. The registration webpage will be open on 29th October at 10:00 a.m. If the number of registrations exceeds the limit, the list of participants shall be determined by drawing lot, and the selected participants shall receive a confirmation text message on 10th November.
-For enquiry: 8399 6210 (office hours: 9:00–13:00 and 14:30–17:45 from Monday to Thursday; 9:00–13:00 and 14:30–17:30 on Friday).

【Remarks】
-Participants should arrive 10 minutes early.
-According to the government’s epidemic prevention measures, participants are required to wear face masks at all times during the event, have temperature checked and present the Health Code of the day when entering the facility.
-The organisers may record videos and take photographs of the event. Participants shall agree such photographs and videos may be partially or wholly used for promotion purpose in the future, without prior notice.
