Luo Tong
Now working as a director, Greek theatre expert and Shanghai Theatre Academy specialist, Luo Tong graduated from the Directing Department of the Central Academy of Drama and the Department of Theatre Studies of the School of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since studying in Greece in the 1990s, Luo has been engaged in the study of ancient Greek theatre and the Sino-Greek cultural exchange. Specially invited as the senior translator of the Presidential Mansion of Greece, Luo has worked for the President and the Prime Minister of Greece as well as Chinese national leaders. Her major works include the documentaries Discovering Greece and The Light of Aegean Sea, ancient Greek tragedy Oedipus Rex and comedy The Birds. Among her translated works are the tragediesAgamemnon by Aeschylus, Electra by Sophocles, the comedies The Birds and Frogs by Aristophanes, and The Courtyard of Miracles by Iakovos Kambanellis.
