The Fringe keeps connecting with festival curators from various cities to entice performance opportunities outside Macao for local art groups. The guests will share their curatorial experience and pitch relevant selection requirements for their programmes. Artists, arts groups leaders, or those interested in art administration or festival curatorship, are invited to join this sharing session. Cocktails will be served in the second half of the event.

The deadline for registration is 21January. In case of oversubscription, selection will be made by drawing lots. Accepted applicants will be notified by SMS.

Charlie Chen
Marketing & Promotions deputy general manager of Shanghai Xintiandi and Wuhan Tiandi, Chen is in charge of the Xintiandi Festival. He was also the first person in China to integrate immersive theatrical performances into neighbourhoods and commercial spaces. With extensive experience in commercial asset management, Chen is mainly responsible for the branding of Xintiandi flagship projects. With him at the helm, the Xintiandi Festival earned the 2017 ICSC Asia-Pacific Shopping Center Award. He also directs several events blending cutting-edge trends with Shanghai’s cultural heritage, including the Xintiandi Design Festival, Shanghai Fashion Week, World Music Asia, and Shanghai New Year’s Eve Countdown Party.

Moreen Fan*
Fan is deputy general manager at the Sinan Mansions Shanghai, also in charge of the StArt Festival. The festival has been held for five editions, each one gathering more than one hundred artists and countless audience. As a cultural landmark of Shanghai, the Sinan Mansions organise all kinds of cultural and artistic events, presenting each year in their vicinity nearly 600 events, enriching citizens’ cultural and artistic life.

Gyohee Baek
Baek is currently the secretary general of the Seoul Fringe Festival, which took off as an independent arts event held in Seoul in 1998. Each year the festival has been connecting artists and audiences in numerous sites in the city, from streets and theatres to galleries and even artists’ homes. Baek has also an extensive career working as a producer, connector and researcher for the performing arts and festivals field.
