Day by day in a small town, people are living their dull and mundane lives, but the routine is disrupted one night by an appalling incident: an obedient and shy lad poked six horses blind. This abhorrent madness caused a furore, leading the townspeople to deem the lad’s behaviour devilish and unforgivable. Before the court gives its verdict, the boy is sent to a psychiatrist for treatment. When the doctor finds the young accused to have a nearly religious fascination for horses, the subsequent findings gradually lead everyone to raise questions: what is “normal”? Are routine and the ordinary really normal?
