“Kova” is a unique movement language developed by choreographer Marcos Morau, according to whom movement stems not from emotions but from the deep connection between body and space, shapes and volumes. In this workshop, dancers of the Lyon Opera Ballet will experiment with the fundamental principles of this abstract language providing very precise tools and notions.

Instructor:Eleonora Campello
A dancer from an early age she trained classical techniques at the Il Balletto school in Castelfranco, Italy. At the age of 18 she receivedprofessional training at the Ballet Junior de Genève, which enabled her to broaden the practice to include contemporary dance, improvisation and yoga. She joined the Lyon Opera Ballet in 2022 and took part in works by Marcos Morau, Noa Zuk, Barak Marshall, amongst many others.

Instructor:Paul Grégoire
He first trained music and karate, awakening his appreciation of physicality and rhythm from an early age. At the age of 14, he studiedat the Lyon’s Regional Conservatory before joining the Ballet Junior de Genève in 2020. There he discovered an eclectic repertoire in works by Marcos Morau, Hofesh Shechter, Maud Le Pladec, and many others.

Remarks:

  1. Participants are required to wear comfortable clothing and to be barefoot or wearing socks;
  2. Participants are recommended to bring drinking water or their own water bottles.

The deadline for registration is 12 May. Please submit your dance experience upon registration for selection purpose. Eligible applicants will be accepted according to the registeration order. Accepted applicants will be notified by SMS and will have to pay the fee via the Activity Application in Macao One Account by the appointed date.
