One of the world’s leading choreographers will be back in town to delight us with a brand-new dance theatre production. This time, Akram Khan brings along Jungle Book reimagined, his own version of Rudyard Kipling’s much-loved story. Revisiting Mowgli’s widely popular adventures, Khan turned the classic from a jungle tale into an urban journey, seen through the eyes of a climate refugee. In this powerful piece, Mowgli, the little boy hero, gives way to a young girl who will be making unlikely friends in a strange site, where wild animals claim the streets as their own. Bringing together a stellar creative team, this vibrant production features an international cast moving to Jocelyn Pook’s original score, state-of-the-art animation and fantastic new visuals.

This beautifully compelling and vital piece for all ages, tells us about the human’s intrinsic need to belong and bond with others. Enhancing the importance of respecting and connecting with nature, the show has been touring all major international festivals, spreading inspiration for both performing arts lovers and future story tellers!
