Like most urban music genres, from samba to flamenco, fado has its own dance translation. In Lisbon, it used to be called ‘fado batido’, integrating moves inspired by an energetic and virtuosic tap dance.

Catarina and Melissa, two dancers from the Jonas&Lander ensemble, will bring insights into the work of Tap Fado. Using the instructors’ own dance vocabulary as a starting point, integrating games with a twist of imagination, participants will learn, sweat and play.

Fado music will naturally be used through the workshop as it has the power to connect different generations, tightening family bonds.

Remarks:

  1. Participants are required to bring their own tap shoes. Flamenco or other heeled shoes can also be worn;
  2. Participants are recommended to bring their own drinking water.

The deadline for registration is 15 May. Please register and pay the fee via the Activity Application in Macao One Account.
