“This ensemble’s playing is incredibly solid and well-balanced. All four musicians perform at the same level and their music-making is enthralling.” – Lukas Hagen, first violinist of the celebrated Hagen Quartet.
Founded in 2007, the young string quartet has won countless awards in some of the major international music competitions, including the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, International Mozart Competition in Salzburg, the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, and many more. Since then, the quartet has performed in major venues including the Carnegie Hall, the Berliner Philharmoniker Chamber Music Hall, where they were lauded by audiences and critics alike. Novus String Quartet is currently one of the leading chamber ensembles in South Korea, and is among the rising stars of the international music scene.
From the classics of Mozart, Mendelssohn, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, to the unique masterpieces by Ravel, Webern and Britten, Novus String Quartet perfectly realises the essence of the genre.
