The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) is paying close attention to the situation caused by the Hokkaido earthquake.
Until 12:30 of September 7th, GGCT received 8 requests for information, mainly related to the current situation in Hokkaido and transport arrangements. GGCT also received 3 requests for assistance from Macao residents who are in safe conditions, requesting information on alternatives in the hope that they can return to Macao as soon as possible. GGCT provided relevant information to those requests and will continue to maintain in close contact with them for updates of their status.
According to the information provided by the General Consulate of China in Sapporo, a temporary emergency relief center was opened in order to assist Chinese citizens affected by the earthquake. The general information is as follows:

The relief center can provide temporary shelter and be used for rest, as well as providing simple emergency food. For those chinese citizens in need, please go to the center.”
